Why "Kalliope's Grace?"
Kalliope is the Greek Muse of epic poetry & eloquence. She is the eldest of the nine muses, often pictured holding a lyre or a book. The word Kalliope translates to "beautiful voiced." Kalliope was Homer's Muse.

Kalliope's Grace Story
I began reading early English poetry to find lyrics. My search for inspiration opened a profound doorway into the poetry that truly spoke to me. I found a way to express feelings and insights with marvelous style and natural rhythm perfect for guitar & harp accompaniment. I set the ones I loved and found most beautiful to melodies. My journey led through the centuries to more modern poets, still in the public realm. I wanted to bring their beautiful words to life in music, so people would be exposed to their emotion & power in a new form. Then I discovered the repertoire of light-filled Australian poetry. It was a new land to these poets, and they were greatly inspired by the beauty of nature.Here I've included three works: Twenty Gallons of Sleep, Love in a Cottage & Bread & Wine.
